bad smell when in air-recycling mode..

past summer i had a horrible odor when i put my car in air-recycling.. my mech said that it was cause by mold forming on the recycling fan,, is that acurate?

yup...due to high humdity.

some people pure bleach into AC vent to kill those microbials. or you can bring it to a detail shop to have them run hot steam to it.

Wouldn't hot steam also lead to humidity when it cools down ?
Or was it a joke ?

Am so braindead after a long day - so I might've missed the point here

Mine smells funny sometimes too. Like there's a dead cat in the car or something. It's strange because it only happens now and then... This was in the Winter too....
