New Battery???

Hey Guys,
I have a 2k maxima. At how many miles should i replace the stock battery? And what brands/kinds should i get and from where.

Thanks for your input.

Its not a mileage issue...If you have an aftermarket sound system, upgrade it anyways with a Optima Yellow Top. It wouldn't hurt

probably not. I never did on my 2000 Max and had no dimming problems. I just didnt want to give away this battery trading in my other Max. Autozone now carries Optima batteries and select Costcos

Did the stock positive connector work on the Yellow Top? Seems like the posts are further in, and the stock 2K2 connector makes a 90 degree bend.

Longevity?

How long do these batteries last? I usually by AC Delco and the most I can get out of them is 6 years (actually 4~5 it starts to go). Thanks

I got it down in San Diego thru a friend.

I had to modify the + oem terminal to make it fit. I plan on installing better ones soon

I personally didnt modify it. One of my installers at work did it.
