Another Cattman/Progress RSB installation question...
I just installed my Cattman/Progress RSB last night and was wondering approximately how much of the bar did you guys have sticking out of the side bushings?? The instructions said to put bushings on 1" form the end of the bar, but by the time I completed the installation, I had ~1/2" of bar on the driver's side and the passenger side was MAYBE 1/8" of bar. Will this cause any problems??? I put the side brackets as far back as possibe between the 1st cable bolt and the hose bolt (can't think of any better way to describe it) and I cannot get the bar to slide forward any more. Is this common??
I too have become a believer in the RSB as a "must-have" mod. I took the car for a spin last night along some decent curves and attacked some 3/4 circle exit ramps and was thoroughly impressed!!! I didn't hear anything wrong with the bar (no weird noises), so is it safe to assume that the install is correct??

I assume that's a bump due to the 4 hours of no response? Heaven forbid the question not be answered. Anyway, you should be fine as long as your brake line isn't in the way and waiting to be rubbed through. You want them as far apart as they can safely go for tight handling and stable installation. I'd check in a few weeks and make sure things haven't moved, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it
I have the same thing on my 2002 Max. I just installed it, the RSB, and I cannot get a full 1" of the bar to stick out of the side bushings. I have less than 1/2". It seems to be fine, though, as I have driven several curves I am very familiar with and it is definately working. I should have done this mod long ago.
