Anyone tried the upgraded HID bulbs from misterjung.com?

http://www.misterjung.com

The bulbs are only $65 each and I was thinking about trying the 7000K bulbs. Has ANYONE on here with 2k2/2k3 HIDs tried them?

Thanks.

I had a hard time getting a hold of this guy. I've sent him half-a-dozen emails and got no responses from any of them. I finally dropped him and went with someone else. That's just my experience.

When I was in the market to upgrade my bulbs, I did some research and found that anything over 5800k has been treated. The 'blue'/'purple' color is simulated by having the bulb tainted with a coat to give it's perceived color (usually producing less lumens). you can see similar ones in HID-similated halogen bulbs on the market today. Phillips is one of the few manufacturers that I know that produces Ultinon 5800k bulbs with no bulb treatment. Perhaps Osram have a line too...but I dunno. These typically last longer (lots of R&D...so they say) and they also fit the standard Maxima HID housing with no modifications. Most HID conversion kits that have been rebased (i.e. D2R bulb fitted with H4/H3/H7 etc housing are usually not made in Germany but in Asia. Be aware that, in some states, if your headlights are too blue, you may get a fix-it ticket. the bluish color, though cool, tend to tire your eyes more. that's my 2 cents.

Actually, Hanabi is one of the only providers that I have personally seen that produces a 6000K purple HID kit, the bulb is untreated(not coated) and will give you a higher lumens. I have the standard 4250K setup for my car and it produces something like 3200 lumens. My friends Hanabi kit is the 6000K purple, producing something like 3600 lumens so it's more purple/blue AND brighter.

When going w/ the phillips Ultinon 6000K kit, yeah it will be brighter looking because of the color temp, BUT they actually lower the lumens to compensate. (it's like 2700K) From the small research that I have done, if you have like 6000K and 3600lumens, the bulb won't last as long. My friends kit side by side mine, his is easily noticable that it's brighter.
Oh, and ofcourse projector/reflectors make a huge differnce as well.
