The bracket on the beam is on right, but I can't tell where it is (i.e. if it's in the right place to work, but miss the Panhard bar).

The bracket on the trailing arm looks right, although it's much closer to the end of the bar than mine is. What's the minimum (from the instructions)? If it's enough for the minimum, then it's good. FYI, I put mine on the other side of the bracket, which gives me something like 4 or 5 inches from the end, and is supposed to increase the effect of the RSB.

From your pic, and if I remember right, there's a bracket on the trailing arm that holds the hose. It stops you from putting the RSB bracket in what would otherwise be the perfect place.

You put your RSB bracket towards the end of the RSB, I put mine on the other side of the trailing arm bracket, away from the end of the RSB.

The farther the RSB bracket is from the end of the RSB, the more effect the RSB has - because it doesn't let the RSB twist as much.

 

so how do i move it back?? with out damaging anything???

Not sure you need to - others have done it your way and haven't had any problems. As long as you're within the installation guidelines, there's no right or wrong - just different (with the exception noted above, that moving the brackets farther from the end increases the RSB effect).

Don't have pics, sorry - but if you look at your car and the RSB clamps on the trailing arm, they're currently in front of (toward the front of the car) the bracket that holds the hose. You could unbolt the RSB bracket, and re-install it behind the trailing arm bracket (towards the back of the car).

Again though, not sure it's worth it - what you've done is a common install.

Easier way to explain it:

On the brackets that attach to the rear beam (that runs between the 2 tires - a.k.a. real axel), make sure that they are 4.5" away from the bends in the bar.

On the brackets that DON'T attach to the rear beam (they attach to the side beams near the brake lines), move them toward the rear of the car for better correction (better handling). Move them towards the front of the car for less correction (less handling).

 

dang thanks for clearing that up for me. but how do i move the one on the side beams. there are is the break lines and also i think it wont fit? or will it???? thanks for the help. is that what u did studman???

You have to remove the bracket, move the brake line out of the way (it just snaps out of that little rubber holder), mount the brackets near the bends, and reattach the brake lines to that little holder. It's actually pretty simple. The biggest pain in the butt was getting the wrench in there to hold the bolts. I had to go over the muffler pipe when I did the passenger's side.
