Maxspeed/KYB GR2 combo first impressions

Just got back literally 5 minutes ago from pickuping up my Maxima with the Maxspeed springs/KYB GR2 combo installed....

After driving it maybe 1/2 mile back to my house all I can say is WOW!!!

what a difference..its like I'm driving a different car now...totally smoother ride with bumps barely felt....With the stock Tokicos, the ride was stiff and uncompliant....I think I could take the Autobahn with the car now...

I will take pix as soon as my damn cold is gone (thanx mom! ) and the car is cleaned (Sunday).

Visibly, the well gap is damn near gone and I can only imagine how this car is when the springs have settled....Pix to come!

It's funny how not too long ago everyone was against the GR-2s and was for the Tokico Blues. I'm glad I tried the GR-2s. Very impressed with the ride and price of course. Group deals are great.

I am planning to put MaxSpeed springs on, but keep the stock struts.

You think I will have a similar ride?

I would just wait and save up the $300 bucks for new struts and put everything on at the same time. I don't think the ride would be as good with stock struts, but that is just a guess.

I would definitely spend the extra bux.....the stock struts are too stiff...the KYB's absorb bumps like they're butter...

Hey George when you read this holla at me.....this car rides totally different now.....

You guys have to keep in mind that springs are differant and so is how it rides a week after. I did not post about the Teins when I got them for until I had them in for a week. Once the springs settle in it changes. The first week I had mine in, the springs were rock hard and I could take corner at redicoulous speeds, now its calmed down quite a bit since its been 3 weeks since the install. Give us your thoughs about how well it handles a week from now, they will be differant from todays I assure you. No matter what it will be better then OEM so enjoy them and have fun.
