noise when reversing

when I go into reverse, I hear a hollow kind of grinding noise, I really don't know how to explain it, but it only happens when reversing. has anyone had this problem or might now what it could be?

Let me guess, you just installed an FTSB. Right?
If so, tell him what this is, org'ers...

If not, more detail needed.

If you just installed an FSTB, you don't have enough clearance (especially on an 02 or 03) for your intake and you are getting rub when in reverse. You need to adjust your FSTB and this will eliminate the noise. If you cannot adjust it (especially on the cheapy EBay models), then you should scrap it and get a better one (like OTTO, OBX, or Stillen).

Sounds allot like what I have in my car. There is TSB, number NTB02-084.
It is described as a howl noise when clutch is released. It is a manual tranny right? I also get this when I'm sitting in traffic on a hill inching my way up.

yes it is manual, I really don't sit in too much traffic with it, it's my 2nd car (1988 Sentra w/ 69 ponies...I was doing 95mph last week, it's kinda wiered) but do you know if it's a bad thing? should I get it checked out?

thanks
