Should I install my RVM UDP or return it?

Obviously, there's a lot of controversy surrounding the RVM UDP in regards to oil leaks. I have one but I haven't installed it yet and I'm wondering if I shouldn't just attempt to return it and get an UR UDP. For those familiar with this situation, your thoughts please?

The question is are people replacing the seal that goes behind the UDP?

If they are not then thats an answer to their question. I know when I installed a blower and reinstalled the stock pulley I replaced the seal.

I have not read the problems surrounding the pulley, but if you have any doubt return it and get the real UDP.

Look at the sticky in the general forum regarding this issue if you need more info.

I have a new oil seal that will be replace the old one.

The UR pulley is around $100 more than the RVM, so I need a good reason to justify that upgrade.
