Making tthe VG faster????/

Ok, I know this has kinda been gone over a million times and you don't have to flame me for asking if you don't want to answer the thread but what are the best ways or mods to get your/ours/my VG faster??? I know bout that bout the 5spd, CAI and Y-pipe but what else. I know there's a lot of other things.

i'm in the same boat as you...vg auto w/ K&N Pop Charger
i'm planning to get a cai, advance the timing, y-pipe + hi flow catt + cat back (all 2.5"), udp, and then possibly port the tb & intake plenum. and if i have the money, jwt ecu & cams
to be honest....we're fighting an uphill battle here and i think i'd rather worry about keeping my car running in good condition and just make it look better.

amen to that, VG 5spd here. quick in the low end, but just cant keep up with the newer v6's after 3rd gear or so.

1 ECU Upgrade: ~$500
1 set of Camshafts: ~$500
Y-pipe, B-pipe, cat: ~$470
CAI: ~$140
5 speed conversion: ~$1200

i'm in there also. vg auto y-pipe, reative air filter, magnea flow exhaust. next udp, ecu. like u said it's better just makin look good.

Porting the intake plenum and throttle body is a huge waste of time unless you plan on some MAJOR work on the plenum like I did on my Z plenum http://mywebpages.comcast.net/engloid/index.html

The maxima plenum isn't as crappy as the Z one, so you really will be wasting your time unless you plan on reaching about 400+hp.
