take off the upper intake manifold and loosen all the screws on the valve cover. you should be able to pull the dist but setting it to TDC. good luck.

whip out the credit card and start ordering some gaskets.
like i said..check if u can pull the dist out 1st and check before you go racking your brain trying to get the valve cover off.

i already did remove the distrubuter, and the engien doesnt spin the gear that spins the distrubuter

for ease of use, and troubleshooting reasons i took off the timign belt cover, the belt is trash

so i need to tear down that side of the engine
and IFF (if and only if) everything in there seems smooth then i will jsut put a new belt on, but i am afraid that there may be something mroe serious like a broken camshaft in there

btw, if anyone that has expertise lives near terre haute indiana, and would love to spend a friday night busting their knuckles instead of with a girlfriend or etc, please message me, i will provide free pizza

maxdout92: 92-94 SE = Coil on Plugs, and timing Chain
89-94 GXE and 89-91 SE = distributor cap and timing belt.

that correlates with my findings of distro cap and timing belt

any advice on changing a timing belt, and what to look for on causes for breaking (belt is only 40k old)
