eibach pro kit...please help

Hi folks...Planning to get a set of Eibach pro kit.I was wondering if you guys installed some of those on your car,and how is the ride. I do know that an alignment is recomended for the front wheels,is anything that should be done for the rear ? There is a solid axle,so there should be no alignment changes for the rear. All I try to do is just lower the car a bit and get a slightly harder ride.Nothing more.If there are any opinions out there ,please share. Thank you for your help

Aligntment is not necessary for the rears. However the alignment shop will most likely charge you the "4 wheel alignment price". Couple years ago you got a small d iscount if your rears dont need an alignment, but I dont think too many shops do that anymore. As for the ride, when I put em in it didnt feel ANY DIFFERENT than the stock SE springs, but thats because my shocks were blown anyways. Aftermarket springs ARE NOT THAT HARSH.. most people have springs with tired stock shocks and thats why the ride is so bad.

If you want slightly harder than stock, Eibachs might not be for you. Eibachs are the all out, pretty stiff, perfect handling spring when coupled with good shocks and sway bars. H&R are stiffer than stock, but less than Eibach, but don't handle as well, due to their softer spring rate, but are a great compromise for ride comfort.
It all depends on what you want, I've got Eibach/Koni and I wouldn't trade them for anything.... well, cept for maybe from FLT-A2s But those are even stiffer. An honest answer about ride is.... yes they are stiff and if you live in pothole-land, yes it'll probably be barely streetable, but if things are smooth, then these might be the springs for you. There are much much harder suspensions out there (the hit your head on the ceiling over every bump kind) I've been in many, so I'd say that these aren't bad at all.
Find someone with the combo you want and take a ride, to see if you can get use to it.

Great resource on springs is here:
