"A few inches" isn't a good idea.
Get yourself a set of H&R springs (about 1.7" drop) for a sporty, near stock ride and a nice drop and much added handling.
Get yourself a set of Eibach springs (about 1.5" drop) for a more firm sports car like ride.
Couple them with either KYB GR2 non adjustable struts and shocks or if you like to play around on the twisties and run at the track, get a set of KYB AGX's which are adjustable from smooth/firm up to very firm rides.
There are many other springs to choose from, the ones I mentioned are the best and most popular name brands available for your car.
Check the Group Deal forums for some deals going on for H&R springs and KYB products.
You should check your suspension for normal ware items such as dust covers and possibly strut bearings if your mileage is up there. Dust covers usually always fall apart in about 4 or so years. If your lowering it, I'd suggest you pick up a set of KYB dust covers with trimmed bump stops to give you as much suspension travel back after moving to a lower spring. There are also modified rear spring mounts that give back suspension travel in the rear.
Enjoy the ride!

I myself think that H&R would be better for me, i dont want a hard ride, yet i want a good drop on the car. 1 question, is it better to get the rims 1st then drop the car, or it doesnt matter?

That's if you go for KYB GR2's ($250 shipped from FCP Groton) and MaxSpeed Springs (Ebay)
that's not including dust boots ($60 Cattman)or strut mounts (OEM $70-$80) that you may or may not need.
