Installed new Headunit, Have a gap

I just installed a Kenwood X469 ... I used the Scosche DIN Pocket with it. One problem, the trim ring that came w/ the cd player won't fit on there with the Factory radio trim (the woodgrain). There is a decent gap which looks crappy to me and almost makes me regret buying this cd player although I like it so much. It was supposed to fit my car.. I called Crutchfield and they said they'd never heard of any fitment issues with it. Help me out anyone.. Thanks

You're using factory radio trim with a schosche kit? I'm confused. Can you provide a pic?
