warped rotors...
If under 30k miles, take to dealer, TSB for this problem, very common in Gen5 Maxes, particularly 2000 and 2001's.

Can anyone post the TSB? I can't find it here, the link in the TSB section doesn't work.

i had to get mine resurfaced after 3k miles and now at 13k it's starting to shake again....are they suppose to replace them after multiple problems or just keep resurfacing until it's out of warranty?

I had that same problem with my '00 max and now with my '02 max. I guess aftermarket rotors would be the remedy? Some x-drilled ot slotted?

Covered up to 36K miles, and usually you only get your rotors resurfaced. After that MOST dealerships will say no. There are the few and far between dealerships that will resurface after 36K.

The best solution is to put aftermarket rotors on. The stock ones will warp again even after they are resurfaced.

Just do the 300zx brake mod. That's what took care of that problem on my car. I have a write up on it on page 2 of my site.
