Im glad to finally see a review on this clutch. How does it engage for normal driving, how are the shifts..smooth? How is the pedal "feel" compared to the stock..any other observations of this clutch would be greatly appreciated if you would write back on here about the clutch

Thanks,

-Nick

Pedal feel is abit bit stiffer than stock, but I like a firmer pedal. Shifting took me a little getting used to because of the new feel, but pretty smooth.

Other than the fact its almost 100% asured you'll blow your tranny with it? Unless you have high boost and a built tranny it's not needed....

I'm interested in this clutch but was wondering how it compares to the ACT clutch. I got Screwed on my last clutch purchase and am hesitant on my next purchase. I bought a Dual Centerforce clutch from Stillen and its dead after 20,000 miles. So, I'm interested, but just need reassurance.

Thanks

Wow!! What happened? The Centerforce DF clutch is supposed to have 70-90% clamping force over the stock clutch. Did you take you car to drag races or you ride your clutch a lot !! I am thinking of buying the centerforce clutch too. Please elaborate. Thanks.

If the Centerforce DF Clutch has 70-90% clamping force over the stock clutch i would not have a transmission left. I spent $295 on it from stillen. It was a very ****ty clutch. I didn't even really beat on the car, and i dont ride the clutch. Could have been a bad install too.

Centerforce Dual Friction Clutches are known to go after a short period of time. So far I have heard mostly complaints about them so I don't carry them. The only clutches I carry are Clutchmaster, Exedy, ACT, and RPS Turbo Clutches.

PerfectMax... The GD is for 10 orders. I can't do it one at a time. Has to be 10. You would have to wait until we get all ten or pay more for me to order just 1. If I get 10 Paid orders by Friday I can have them shipped next week.

nadir_s... no roblem.

So far the responses back from the org members that got the clutch already have been good. I haven't had one person tell me that they suck. If there are people the have negative feedback on an Exedy clutch I would really like to hear it.

hey PJ, alot of people are confusing the clutch you are selling w/ the crappier versions found on Ebay. I was curious to know why people thought it sucked too... check this post:

I'm not sure of the clamping force of my OEM pressure plate. Can you tell me what Exedy Stage 1 would be in kg. for a 1992 VE 5-speed?

*for comparison*

TIA

ACT is supposed to be 39% over stock, Exedy is supposed to be 36% over stock. ACT uses Exedy parts to make there clutch, at least on the clutch disc, its printed right on the friction material...

95CustomMaxima... You'd have to wait until all 10 clutches are paid for. So far we have 5 people on the list and 1 payment so far and I'm getting some e-mails also. We sold 26 clutches in the last group deal (at least 5 clutches a week). This should start picking up soon.

3.0HO... you should ask some of the buyers on the first group deal about how the clutch feels and so on. I don't want to lie to you and make up my own story. I have a 300ZX Twin Turbo with a stock clutch for now, and I will be replacing it with an Exedy Twin Plate clutch when the time comes... but I can't give you personal feedback on this Maxima Stage 1 clutch. You have to talk to guys who have bought it before.

Lordrandall... The Clamp Load on your stock pressure plate is 590 kg. On the Exedy Stage 1 pressure plate the Clamp Load is 800 kg. Hope that helps.

Ok Jeff, Count me in on the group deal. My only Issue is if my clutch dies before the deal is over and if it looks like I would have to wait a few weeks to get the clutch in. That kind of down time would kill me.

That said, we need 4 more people.
Jeff, I will paypal you the money tonight or tommarrow.
