get rid of blue painted lightbulbs, get HID

 

It's true, and it does suck...
I've got hyperwhites (significantly cheaper than HID's, LOL) and they are great in clear weather, but the road only reflects their light when wet. I know any wet road will reflect more light, but the hyperwhites seem to be worse than the regular bulbs, when it comes to rain...
Crappy... It must just be the science of the color... maybe an off-color fog light will help get a wider color spectrum. (ie. yellowish...)
Let us know if you find any good solutions. (costing us less than $100000!! LOL)

The shorter wavelength of the blue light scatters more easily in the rain. Longer wavelength yellow light scatters less.

 

yea i noticed that too.... but they look ohhh soo good in the normal night driving... im not going back.... happy happy happy

 

In that case, if/when you get into an accident on a rainy night, I'm not going to say, "Sorry about the accident."

I'm going to say, "You deserved it."

The purpose of your headlights is to be able to see things, not to look cool.

 

But you gotta admit, they look a WHOLE lot better.

 

maybe someone could design a dual or even triple projector setup: one with the ultrawhite low beam, one with the yellow low beam, and a yellow high beam...then again, wed probably have to see a SINGLE projector design before we saw numerous others...

 

IMO, superwhites are the worst for rain, the more yellowish they lights are the better for rain illumination

Maybe the best setup then is 'hyper whites' with yellow fogs for the ran?
