AccordV6.com => V6Performance.net = NISSAN Forums!

As some of you guys may or may not know, I am a co-admin at www.accordv6.com from when I owned my Accord V6. We have now moved the site onto newer/faster servers and have changed it from an Accord-only site to a general import V6 site which means it has NISSAN forums now also.

Check it out at...

This site is absolutely positively NOT meant to compete with the ORG. It is meant to compliment it much like Cheston's MaximaDriver.com, Luke's VQPower.com, and Sprint's TurboMaxima.com sites. In the Nissan & Infinti forum, there are different sub-forums for each category of aftermarket mods like intakes, exhausts, ECU, etc. The plan is to fill in these forums with mod information similar to the Honda & Acura sections with relevant data and thread links back to the ORG. This allows for better organization and will let you find information about mods for your car much easier while also cutting down on search feature usage on the ORG which really beats up the poor server and then having to read through 20 different threads....

The ORG has car-specific forums setup. We have modification specific forums setup. So if you're looking for information on intakes, all you'd need to do is browse to the intake forum and you'll have all the info you need. Of course, it's blank now, but hopefully you guys will change that.

The general theme of the site is organizing data and information about aftermarket mods for cars, and also to demonstrate to aftermarket companies that there is actually a legitimate enthusiast interest even in V6 family sedans in the hopes of getting more and better quality aftermarket parts made. We have been successful in leveraging several aftermarket companies into making new parts for Accord V6's, so I am sure there could be even better results for Maxima's which have a much larger enthusiast following.

Other features of the site are a General Discussion forum for all makes/model V6's, Honda/Acura-specific forums, and Toyota/Lexus-specific forums. Within the V6 RACING & TUNING category there are also 1/4 mile and dyno sub-forums that you are more than welcomed to post in (no longer Accord V6 only), along with a V6 vs ALL forum.

I actually don't think a "forum" is the best place for mods lists. I've actually set up something called a "wiki" which does wonders, in where anyone can edit any pages from anywhere, with trailing revision history, leading to the most current information about all mods avaliable. If you don't believe it, check out the link in my sig. It's the biggest mods database known for the 4th gen maxima so far.

I will link your site, and thanks for the feedback. Sites like your are what I originally intended to link.

We still want the forum aspect of it since it allows people to ask questions and have discussions on different mods, installation tips, random questions, etc.

Great idea using the Wiki for this!

Have you considered adding a Mitsubishi section? They make some pretty good V6's too.

The only problem I envision with this is that it will turn into the flame-fest from he11 with accord people vs maxima people vs mitsubishi people vs toyota people, etc.

BTW can people with GNs and GPs and Sy/Tys and V6 F-bodies and Chevy Corsicas post there hehe.

It's still primarily an Accord V6 board (member # wise) and lots of the Honda folks already have a respect and appreciation for other cars, so hopefully this won't be much of a problem. There are a few that are die-hard Honda and a bit upset, but it's just a phase. I will be keeping a close eye out for hating/flame war stuff, though.

hehe...there is a guest forum for "OTHER V6's" where anybody is welcomed to post. It's primarily an import board though. We'll see who shows up.

The site by definition welcomes trolls, as long as they are V6-owning trolls.

I don't know about SprintMax-trolls though.
