PLEASE HELP FAST!!! Tranny swappers help please!!!

Well I am in the process of ordering all the parts for the manual swap and I am hearing different stuff on what I need. Can someone please tell me what all is needed so that I can do this right with out ordering too much stuff.

Here is a list of what I already have:

5 speed anniversary edition tranny
master cylinder
slave cylinder
clutch resevoir
pedal set
clutch safety swith
clutch
flywheel
ecm from anniversary edition car

They keep telling me that I need some $1000 dollar harness to connect the tranny to the ecm, can someone tell me about this please. All comments welcome.

Thanks
Blake

The harness should be on the tranny already. It only has 2-3 plugs on it, and If I remember right, most of them are permanently connected to the sensors they run to, meaning the harness should still be on your tranny. Hope this helps.

You won't need these:
- clutch safety swith
- ecm from anniversary edition car

You will need BOTH drive axles... yes, they're expensive.

Give Dave Burnette a call and ask him about the little parts. He still has my list.

You sold my auto tranny?

Good luck!

Well funny that you ask, your auto is going in the car on Monday. I havent purchased any of these yet, but I do have them all on hold at different shops and salvage yards. I am going to install Kevs auto and then see how long it last and in the mean time I am going to be getting money together for either a bulletproof auto or the tranny swap. And thanks for the help Kevin, sorry I never got in touch with you about the suspension.

Chillwill- Ray at CD motorsports said that he would help me with the swap, granted we are friends.

Good luck with the 5 speed swap. Let me know if you're still interested in the suspension when you get a chance. I'm not in a rush to sell them, but if the right person comes along (and if you're not interested) I'll sell them.

Yes he still has the list, but you will need to reuse some auto parts (bolts and small things) and pick up a long bolt/nut from Home Depot because the part in the computer is incorrect.

Start car, put car in neutral, rev to 6000 RPM and hold, put car in drive... rinse, lather, repeat if necessary.

You know deep down inside I am kind of hoping that my tranny starts slipping or acting flaky so I can justify the swap... turns out that it is shifting better than it ever did
