Basslink installed in Bose read deck sub hole??

I appreciate the how-to's I have already seen , but these how-to's mounted the Basslink onto the sidewall or floor of the trunk. Has anyone installed a Basslink in the port hole on the rear deck where they removed their stock Bose sub?? Is this possible without requiring major work done??? Do I need the Bose amp to power the door speakers or should it be removed with the Bose sub??

its not meant to be installed there, and i dont think it would fit. I put mine in the drivers side corner, and completley removed the useless stock sub. SO, now, i have a port into the car. it sounds great. And, leave the amp back there, i believe it does power all the speakers..
