Hey guys... i need your opinions on my car. I plan on repainting my car, but can't decide on color. I'm stuck on two colors, a CANDY RED(metallic deep and rich red) or a CANDY BLUE w/ white pearl(a skyline blue)

 

must they put 'candy' in front of the colors? geeeeesh... i think the blue is good.

 

the candy is a type of paint... the red is actually called candy brandy wine

go with the blue, it might save you a ticket.

 

I've seen one blue Mettalic blue and I think it was nice.

 

then again, i hate ANYTHING red

 

I'm thinking of getting my car painted later too, I'm looking to go with either copper (350z and 2k4 maxima) or chrysler blue (the one they use for 2k2 and up PT cruiser and Viper) I think chrysler has really nice looking blue.....

 

Not only should you go with the blue you should go with a metallic blue with the white pearl. This will look kick a$$ and be easier to keep looking clean.

I said red, but in truth I think a DARK red maxima would look awesome. Not burgandy - so not brownish or that dark a red, but a fairly thick red color. How often do you see a red max? You don't!

 

mos definitly blue. Red will be a cop magnet

 

Cherry red would be sweet.

 

what does candy blue look like, regardless, i would get the blue even if the red was a nice color

 

A 255HP Maxima in red = more tickets for sure. I am assuming candy red is bright and bloody colored... it looks hot but not worth it because a cop will have an eye on you from a mile away...

 

I see a true red 4th gen every day in a parking lot near my work. No you don't see red MAx's often but IMHO it looks like $hit.

 

sorry to say guys but i chose red... I myself dont like red as much as blue, but when i saw the candy red at a car show in LA it looked amazing. It was so rich and deep. I wanted to be unique... too many skyline blues out there. ANways, i'll post pics when i get my car back... its been 2 months now... 1 week left. ..hehe...

also candy paint is a 3 stage paint... watch that one show on discovery channel, not american choppers but i think choppers inc where two people both build bikes to compete to see whose better, in the previous episode, one of the guys used a candy paint... he explains how it works...

 

I've seen this color on cars (Candy/Brandy Red) and it looks good, but I would have to say that the newer liquid silver is the total ****. When it's overcast out, it looks metallic blue/gray. When it's sunny/clear, looks insanely silver with all kinds of cool metallic flecks in it.
