I received a new set-up from Pat at level 10 the other day.
I am testing this prototype.
It consists of a controller box with 4 buttons for 1st thru 4th gear, a computer fooler box to keep the check engine light from coming on,this mounts under the hood, a torque converter lock-up box, and a box that allows you to change the shift pressure. You can switch from auto to manual on the fly. Manual shifting is great off the line. The combination of turning up the valve body pressure for quicker slam shifts and winding thru the gears to redline is awesome! This is much faster than letting your tranny shift itself. For routine driving you put the switch back to auto but you still have control over the valve body pressure. You can downshift this unit. There are still problems, The check engine lite still goes on after a while but pat says it's an easy fix. Also the valve body switching needs some refinement.

Pat is also workink on a new controller that will mount on the shifter and will work like the mercedes unit where you flip a botton to upshift and then slide it to down shift.

I really enjoy driving with this unit. The car really jumps off the line like a stick. I am guessing the unit will sell between 900 to 1200 dollars.

Re refinement

I appreciate your imput but if you reread my post it says prototype. The post also says the unit will eventually mount on the shifter.

No disrespect meant , but a lot of you people do not read the posts carefully !!

i was aware that it was a prototype, that's why i said looks need more refinement.. instead of.. it would be cool if it looked better. sorry for not throwing out that line. i don't mean to disrespect at all.
anyways, keep us posted on how it all goes i'm suprised that there is actually someone researching sucha cool mod for our cars.
