GD feeler: SSR, OZ Racing, BBS, or other wheels

hey folks,

well, this is actually my first post. i was introduced to this site by a friend.

this is a bit long-winded, but please read

i have done lots of group deals/buys recently, mostly for audis, vw's, and bmw's. i am hoping that i don't get flamed for letting y'all know that

in any case, i figured i would extend the deals i can get with various tuners to this forum.

since i am new to this forum, i am hoping that it is cool for me to post here. also, please feel free to check out posts i have made on other forums for group buys. on www.audiworld.com, www.audizine.com, www.clubb5.com, www.b5one.com, and others, my handle is s4indaworks. on www.bimmerforums.com and other forums, my handle is same as it is here.

since i have done several GBs with various tuners and retailers, i have been able to work out relationships such that group buys can be worked out with relative ease. all that is needed is folks to join them

How I do group deals/buys

i post all the important info relating to the GB such as pricing, tuner/retailer info, duration, and ETA.

i then keep track of folks who are interested, in for sure, and bail. once we have enough folks, i send in the list with all the folks' info to the tuner. the tuner then contacts the folks, handles payment info, and completes the order.

I NEVER HANDLE PAYMENT OR PAYMENT INFORMATION!

for a wheel GB, for example, i ask for the following:
-full name
-shipping address
-contact number
-times you prefer to be contacted
-time zones you are in
-your ride
-wheel you want
-wheel dimensions
-tire package
-payment preference (credit card, check, etc.)
-shipping preference

Links to some GBs I recently completed or am heading now
one of my BBS GB posts
one of my EVO diverter valve GB posts
one of my transmission stabilizer bar GB posts

note that these GBs are with different tuners.

ok, whew! well, if you have any questions or concerns about my heading group buys, please email me.

now, let me know which wheel y'all want a GB for. typically for wheels, a minimum order of 40 wheels is needed for GB prices.

take care,
eugene

I thimk the SSR GT3 Satin is off the hook. With 19x8.5 with a 37mm offset you can't go wrong. To bad they did not have this deal before I ordered mine.

which wheels do you want pics of?

since there are so many possibilities, it may be better to go to www.tirerack.com as a reference. put in your ride and just select the wheels you want to see on your ride.

btw, the GBs above will NOT be with tirerack.

take care,

to get an idea of what the wheels will look like on your ride, go to www.tirerack.com and select your ride. there, you can select car color and then the wheels. that is about it.

but for the SSRs, here are pics:

SSR comps silver finish

SSR comps anthracite with a silver polished lip

GT1

GT3

here is a link to pics of BBS wheels. this is a link to one of my many posts for the GB i did a while back. it went well!!! we got way over the 48+ wheels needed.

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1159591.phtml

please note that the prices for a GB now may not match those. those prices were a steal!!!

for OZ wheels, go to www.ozwheels.com.

here is a link to wheel weights:
http://www.audiworld.com/tech/wheel22.shtml

hope that helps!

18x8.5 comps

not sure on GB price with 40+ wheels, but the price for audi and vw fitment (5x112) is listed as $460 each (with some variation).

i actually have a GB going for SSRs for audis and vws and other fitments. i am gonna try to finalize pricing for maxima fitment.

the GB price for 18x8.5, 5x112 is $398 each.

now, most wheels, as long as they are the same dimensions, whatever "x" whatever, for different lug patterns, the price remains the same. this is almost always the case, BUT i want to finalize pricing before i post them here officially.

i will try and get information as soon as possible. so please bear with me and then i will list those for SSRs.

here are links to some of my posts for the SSR GB:
http://forums.bostonaudi.org/viewtopic.php?t=1623
http://www.b5one.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=383

hope that helps give an idea of what to expect. but please let me emphasize that $398 is not the finalized GB price for the 18x8.5 SSR Comp with 5x114.3.

take care,
eugene
