I have been fairly happy with my one sub setup.. Right now I am pushing one RF 12" Power Hx2 Subwoofer (2000 WATTS MAX) with a Crossfire VR1000d Amp.. At my first competition I hit a 142db which isn't bad for one sub, plus it is easy to take in and out when I head to the track.. This would be my recommendation..

check out those links, the second ones are videos of it in a ported enclosure...just like to show people new things, you can also search around on carsound.com forums, theres a million threads about the sub...depends on what you wanna do though...either sub is good for a one sub set up...good luck
