Hi, my username is ___,and I can get 100 MPH in the 1/4 Mile.

Hey, I have been wondering what mods it takes to get 99-100 MPH in the 1/4 mile in a 4th Gen. If you can achieve this amazing feat, list your mods if you dont mind.

Im looking for 4th Gen setups, but if you have another generation maxima you can put yours down just remember to specify your model max, and mods.... thanks.

You can get 100mph traps or very close to it with

Intake
Y-pipe
VIM
JWT/ECU
and some good driving.

96 SE 5 speed

MEVI
hacked stock airbox with K&N filter panel
non-mandrel y-pipe
RT cat
2001 Maxima muffler
UDP
JWT ECU

15s in the front with H-rated tires
17s in the back

no gutting
1/3 tank of gas
no powershifting

14.45@99.5mph with a 2.3 60' at 1200' above sea level in 50 degree weather. If I would have run at a sea level I would have been closer to 101mph.

The altitude isn't terrible, it's the traction. My slow 60' is what killed me. If I could somehow manage a 2.1 60', I'd be looking at 14.0s.

You're not getting there without:

a) MEVI and ECU and luck
b) cams and/or other engine work if no MEVI/ECU
c) a car that weighs about 2600lbs with you in it

What happened to the thread you posted yesterday about this that I posted in. I can't find it now.

103 is a little slow for an ls1, my buddy trapped 108-109 with just a lid, and now 115 with headers and exhaust added.

Let me guess, his is an 01-02 6spd? Well I have a 98 auto, the slowest LS1 of the bunch. So I wouldn't consider it slow, especially coming from you.

actually it is a 2000 6spd without the ls6 intake. And, I trap 98 mph with an automatic 3.0 Liter with bolt-ons. I could probably pull you with a 30 shot of nitrous.

LMAO!

Judging by your sig, you have 2 seconds to make up. I didn't know a 30 shot could do that

well after checking out these post, im finishing up the mods i have already ordered and im going to work on getting the ecu for the max. since im not going turbo or sc the JWT ECU and the MEVI seem to be the most important mods to increase speed and get good times.

I like having a 4th gen that can walk the VQ35s (G35, 02+ 6 speed Maxima, 350Z<--can't really walk that, but I do get higher traps) at my track

I still want a 4th Gen, preferably 97-98, Maxima SE to play with. I think that 100 m.p.h. trap speeds are possible without taking out seats to reduce weight, but you will need the mods that Dave mentioned, and very cool or cold weather.

If I can find a Maxima for the right price, I'll be back in the hunt, but I am keeping my other two cars. Especially since on of them could trap 106-107 stock, although its not stock anymore, and the motor is receiving 3 mm Apex seals and being ported while being rebuilt.

Now if someone would sell me a 97-98 SE 5 speed for around $6K

MY GTP needs a 3.25 pulley, PCM, and Intake, but the tranny is on borrowed time having 120K original miles on it, so I am going to wait to do those mods, until after the tranny gets rebuilt.

I've trapped as high as 98.9 with full interior and no CF hood in 75 degree high humidity low pressure weather. Above 100 could have happened had the weather been better.
