I'm not too knowledgeabe about the 5th gen fuel system but RC Engineering makes custom sets. it'll be expensive, but they can make them any CC possible for mostly any car.

Remove the Fmu, and use a piggy back unit like everybody is already doing.

Find another max that has removed the FMU and is running a piggyback to control larger injectors?

THe JWT does not count, it is a complete replacement ECU.

well on my friends turbo B16 CRX we ran a "hack" using the AFC and 450cc DSM injectors(with NO FMU, just upgraded pump!). only thing is you have to run resistors inline with the injectors since they are higher impedence. I've done this on 2 turbo CRX/Civics(one B16 and one ZC DOHC) and it works perfectly...calm almost stock idle and not too bad on the A/F. I'll try and find the link, and maybe one of you pioneering gearheads can do this on the Maxima, might be a little different if since the air metering systems differ.
