Sunroof Wind Deflector

I have it on my 03 and I just took it off because I didnt like the way it looked. What I am wondering if it really is effective when cruising with the sunroof opened. I like the way it the max looks without it, but if really CUTS down on wind noise, I suppose I will put it back on. What do you guys think?

Most people on here dont like it. I had to leave mine on because the old one (recalled) left a damn mark on my roof

I like mine. I think it looks great. I just take it off once in a while to remove the mark it leaves and wax it.

When I took it off you wouldnt believe the amount of dirt that accumulated under it. Like yours it did leave some marks/scratches which I am trying to buff out now. You can only see them at certain angles but I know they are there

I think the max looks so much nicer without it on. I tried to take it off my 2000 max when I brought it, but the damage was already done.

Re: Sunroof Wind Deflector

It does work at keeping the draft out of the cabin with the sunroof open. Even past 100 mph. Also, It does cut down a bit on the wind noise from up there. But if you have your radio on, you wont notice the diff either way. It basically boils down to whether or not you like the way it looks.

i bought my car without the deflector...and you'll notice that our sunroof will slide under the roof, therefore being concealed (many others cars' slide out above the car). Anyways, when the glass went into this groove, this groove became a a trap for many things. I got a stick with a napkin on end of it, and slid it between glass and roof (while slid open)as far as a i could, and it was nasty with bugs and other debris. I also noticed it was annoyingly noisy. i bought one of ebay, put it on, and i personally feel a worl of difference, because i can cruise on highway and it's quieter than it ever was without deflector
