Oil Question: Mixing different weights of oil ???

I had bought 4 containers of 5 quart Mobil-1 oil last year. Based on some reading on here, I had decided to buy 2 containers of 10W30 for summer and 2 of 5W30 for winter. I have gone through all 4 now. The problem is I used 4 quarts for each oil change. So, I am stuck with 2 quarts each of 5W30 and 10W30.

The question is can I go ahead and use all those 4 quarts and do one more oil change? That I suppose would be like 7.5W30 LOL.

I found more 5 quart gallons of mobil 1 for $18.88 at the local walmart the other night and I bought 4 containers again but this time I decided to go with 10W30 so should I go and exchange two for 5W30 and that way at the end of this year I will have 4 quarts of each kind. If there are no problems mixing weight I will just go ahead and use the old oil and start with new oil after the old oil is gone.

Sorry for the long post and the very unusual question.

Thanks

You worry too much. Just mix em. Change it in less than 5k. And from now on just go with one viscosity or the other. 5w30 if it gets really cold where you are. It'll work just fine in the summer too....

rmb,

Thanks. I will do just that. Put in 2 quarts of 5W30 and 2 of 10W30 for my next oil change. Then I will stick to 10W30 coz I live in Charlotte, NC and with the exception of this last winter , it doesn't get that cold out here. LOL.
