Supercharger Or Nitrous?

I'm a newbie to boosting. How fast can I expect my car to be if I supercharge it compared to putting a 50 shot of Nitrous in the quarter mile?

I have a 01 SE 5-spd. Right now I can do low 15's.

Id SC the Turbo like DA-MAX said then spray the juice on both of them. But all jokes aside, you have to ask yourself what is your car going to be..? daily driver? drag? etc..

It will be mostly a daily driver with a few races a year at the track. I just didn't want to spend 4 grand on a supercharger if Nitrous can do the same thing when ever I needed the extra power. What are your thoughts?

Well me personally, I'd go with the SCer, but if its a daily driver then I guess you can go with the 'juice' I dont know all the much about cars, and both SCer and NOS have thier ups and downs, IMHO I think the SCer is more complicated. At least there are NOS systems that are made for just such a thing as going to the track. Hope I was able to answer and help you in your decision.

they are two totally different mods and their end performance is totally different...its very hard to compare them. for daily driver I say SC. nitrous is cool, but consider the refills and also that its not on all the time.

i think they were mentioning daily driven, as in if you had a s/c and drive your car a lot, it would wear out your car more

if you had nitrous, you would only fill up the bottle when you went to the track, all other times you'd be N/A putting less strain on your car than a daily driven s/c'd car

But if you don't rev much over 3K rpm then you won't built boost so your not really stressing the motor if it's daily driven. We all know I don't beat on my car since it's a daily driver

My vote is for the nitros, only because if your car is a daily driver and its SC'd you wont be getting much use out of it, not to mention NOS is about 1/3rd the price of a SCer. So...go with the juice.

Thanks to everyone for their opinions. Another question, what is the performance difference between Nitrous and SC?

nitrous

wet kit. NX. That's what Erik recommends me. 100 shot.

cheap, doesn't hurt engine, look cool to ricers, and can be boosted a lot until the engine can take no more
