besides the exhaust and blow-off valves...what else did you have to replace or add on?

im not f/i...but in Higher boost applications, you often need to upgrade both fuel injectors, and fuel pupm, and run colder plugs, i believe...Most ppl with turbo want a turbo timer to protect longevity of the turbo, and a boost controller, to up or lower the psi of boost the turbo produces..for superchargers a popular add on, to run more boost, is smaller pulleys..this is about where my knowledge ends....so i will let someone else fill in my blanks

Good job...
Addl info.. My personal opinion... before getting a boost controler, it's better to get an AFC (air fuel controlller) to more stabalize and tune the fuel. That would yeild better gains than having wacked A/F curve w/ higher boost.

Hmmm... boost controller, safc or fuel managment system, turbo timer, egt, boost, oil gauges would be nice, injectors & fuel pump, full 3' exhaust, oil cooler.... these are the things I got in preparation for my turbo. So aside from the fact that you have to pay 35 to 45 hundred for a kit, take into consideration that you will have to spend alot more on parts to optimize performance and longevity. Oh yeah...we must'nt forget install costs which can range anywhere from 800 to 1500 I'd say. This is not a small investment. Shop wisely!

I went with a turbo and here is the list of what I consider essential:
1)Factory Service Manual
2)Boost controller
3)Boost gauge
4)Upgraded fuel pump
5)Trunk-mounted battery
6)Fuel-management - Fields or S-AFC or S-AFCII
7)Gauge pod
8)Spark plugs (1 or 2 step colder coppers, depending on boost level)
9)EGT probe and gauge
10)Vortech or Car-Tech FPR with 8:1 ratio
11)Dyno sessions to tune the settings for the car (oh how I wish I'd done this sooner.)

None of the above are in any particular order - each is as important as the next.

Extras to help out that don't quite make the essentials list:
1)J&S Ultra SafeGuard
2)370cc injectors
3)Performance clutch or valve body recalibration(for autos)
4)Performance rims/tires
5)Better brakes
6)Suspension mods to help high-speed handling
7)Fuel pressure gauge
8)vaccuum gauge
