Wow. Very unique. It's definately an RWD. Probably a V8. But the thing is, turbos run on exhaust energy. It needs to be hot and moving fast. Once the exhaust gets way back to the axle area, it's lost alot of heat and energy.
If anyone knows about the oil return pump that's just in front of the axle on the D-side... I'm curious to know who makes it

At first glance I'm thinking maybe it's a mid or rear engine car, but no it's a LT1. I know some are trying to be different and boost hungry, but with all the aftermarket support for the LT1 (nitrous, sc, etc.) why bother with a set-up like this.

I'm thinking that it's a stealth system. He probably doesn't want people to know what he's packing. Sure, it may not put out as much power as if the turbo were mounted conventionally, but if you were running for money and the other guy thinks he's racing a factory LT1...
Otherwise, it doesn't make any real sense to run the turbo back there w/ that much intake piping running right next to the hot exhaust.
