My adventures with wheel bearings(long)

I finally got my car back after having it off the road for three weeks. It all started when the car started make a clicking noise on right hand turns from the right wheel. Eventualy the noise became a constant dragging sound. I took it to the dealer hoping it was the axle shaft. They told me it was the driver side caliper froze up and because of that I needed new pads and rotors. They wanted 667 dollars to fix it. After hearing that I decided to take care of it myself. I got some powerslot rotors for the front, ceramic pads and remanufactured caliper. When I was putting together the side the noise was coming I noticed the wheel was loose. It turns out it wasn't the caliper it was the wheel bearing. So I get a bearing for it take everything apart and have the bearing pressed. I had to work later on in the afternoon so my dad put it back together. When I went to get an alignement the next day they told me I couldn't get it aligned cause the bearing was gone. I went in the garage and they showed me how loose it was. I guess my father didn,t tighten the axle nut enough. They tightend it up more but told me because I had driven the five minutes with it loose I ruined the bearing. Everyone else I talked to said that they never heard of something like that happening. I raised the right tire and everything was tight. So I took the chance and had it aligned some where else. Before I brought it down it was making a whirring noise which I think is the rotors. The car now intermittenly shakes at high speed, mostly above 65mph. Could this be the bearing or is it possible the wheels came out of balance some how? Thanks for listening to me vent, I know this problem will be solved somehow. It sucks to be without my max.

its most likely the wheel bearing, is there any noise when you drive at high speeds? is it shaking really bad?

a wheel bearing is pretty cheap, why wont you just get that replaced and eliminate that option that might be causing the problem
