hiccup at 3300 rpm

I have been reading all about the "hesitation" TSB that everyone has been posting about. I seem to have the same symptoms. When I accererate through 3300 rpm, there is a noticeable lag in acceleration.

The problem is, my car is a 2000 5-speed. Not 02 or 03.

I had some pinging months ago, so I had replaced the spark plugs and coils, which solved that problem immediately. Right about then is when I started getting the hesitation which has gotten progressively worse.

It is probably worth mentioning that I had a KN drop in filter, which I did clean and reoil once.

So, I have put in a brand new oem filter, had the fuel induction system cleaned, and I pulled and cleaned the MAF. After cleaning the MAF, there was a big reduction in the hesitation, and power lag above 3300 seems to be gone.

But there is still a slight hiccup at 3300.

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my Injen. I sold that and got the Frankencar and cleaned my TB. Problem solved.
