Rear BRAKE **** UP
Rear BRAKE **** UP
me and my friend did my rear Brakes on a 98 se and on one of them we commpressed the piston with a clam insead of twisting it in...when i drove it it make a squeling sound and got the wheel extremly hot...the other side we screwed it in my mistake since the whole piston poped out and is fine..wee did not realize the diffrence cause only have done front brakes..my question is the caliper destroyed or can i take the piston out and twist it in the right way.......
Get a Haynes Manual. It doesn't look hard at all. You almost removed the caliper when you changed the rear brake. The only other line you would need to remove is the brake line and one additional caliper bolt. Then you would need to bleed the brakes.
