I do, but Stillen doesn't get them. It's supposed to be the Vitek LSD, look at the part # VITxx. But Vitek didn't make them, Innovative Performance did for Vitek. They no longer do, they make them for me now. A while back I mentioned that Stillen would probably be selling the LSD's. Guess they finally got around to it.

Stillen only sold one LSD for a Maxima a while back. They somehow managed to sell an auto LSD to a 5 spd. owner (the core was out of my car). That was the final nail in the coffin for the relationship of Vitek and Innovative. Things got ugly at that point.

I'd really like to see how Vitek plans on supplying these things to Stillen. They're local to me, so I know for a fact that they do not have a supplier for the LSD's. Since Stillen never sells any, I guess they don't know the whole situation w/ Vitek.

What are the design features of the LSD? Gear driven like Quaife? What are the differences compared to Quaife?

It's a clutch type, not geared like the Quaife.

Differences are I guess that it's a little lighter compared to the Quaife.

The Quaife senses torque differences between the axles and works on that premise. On this and all clutch style LSD, the wheels are locked during normal driving. And when entering a corner, the clutches allow slip. There is no slip until there is enough torque to overcome the clutch friction. So we can vary how "aggressive" the LSD is by choosing different spring rates or clutch materials which would determine at what point slip was allowed, and at what power level, etc. Not as advanced as the Quaife, but it's not as expensive a design either.

I've never driven a Quaife equipped Maxima, so I can't say if you would notice a difference between the two LSD's while driving. All I know is that the people that have them are happy.

BTW, Stillen wants $895.00 +$350 core. My price is $750+$250 core. I'm not really sure why they want $350 core charge since Innovative told Stillen it would be a $250 core.

Thanks again. So how often do the clutches need replaced?

$250 vs. $350...

From my understanding of it, 100K or so. Basically never. I was worried about it, but I'm told that due to the material they use, and the cryo treating, it's pretty much a lifetime thing. Hence the lifetime warranty against breakage.
