They made a Horrible Pulley but an intake i guess is hard to f- up.
Still 48 for a piece of metal w/little tuby outlets. I'm looking into taking control of that department now. theyd sell like hot cakes for even 25-30

i purchased that RVM Racing midpipe off of ebay for 30 bucks to go along with my K&N. it was a very good deal and works just as good as any other midpipe. i couldnt see paying over that for a midpipe. thats just my opinion

so go for it.. it's a free market, do what you want.. conversly when frankencar is on of few alternative, well put together, tested and whatnot, they can charge what they want... their idea, their perogative to do as they wish.. personally I don't think it's that bad a price for what it is, plus it comes from a decent seeming guy, who i am more likely to support than a large established corp.. i dunno, maybe i'm weird, but whatev..

where can i find one for $30.00 that sounds alot better.

what would i look for on ebay , just midpipe, or do i gotta buy a whole intake kit.? im still leaning towards the marketing these things but it would be nice to get the template first.

the frankencar pipe is powercoated - thats the expensive part, the ones on ebay arent, they're just polished

just go to ebay and lookup maxima intake. youll find a bunch of mid pipes, cai's and popchargers.. they are all functionally fine.. but you will end up with a generic k&n style filter that is about and inch or 2 smaller than a real one. bomz kit has a blue hose that doesnt fit to where its suppose to and mine didnt come with a maf adaptor. but intakes are all pretty much teh same after they are installed.. some poeple buy for show so they get the prettier more expensive part.. some of us just want the functionality and gains you can get at the lowest price possible.. that is why there is a market for both although they do the same thing.

frankencar uses silicon couplers.. i think the ebay ones are cheaper.

I have 2 BOMZ intakes sitting in my living room, unused. The midpipe looks powdercoated.. I was tempted to switch between the midpipe and my injen set-up to test things out...

But I just want to get rid of them now... maybe I'll sell them or something... eventually.

Yet, you would have been able to use a bigger consumption filter if you had a midpipe with a bend and not waste space with the accordian deal.
