Anyone used Turtle Car Polish?
Anyone used Turtle Car Polish?
My hood has some spiderwebs and scratches in the paint. My friend recommended Turtle Wax brand car polish. It blends with the car's paint to hide the unsightly stuff on it like scratches, chips and other 'imperfections'. I was just wondering if anyone had used it (its $8 a bottle). Thanks.
ive used it before - it looks OK quite honestly, its more about how you prep for waxing and how much time you really want to spend getting it right. i know some people that will screw up Souveran, and others that can make turtle wax look like layered Klasse SG. at the bare minimum it would be good for waxing my wheels

Let us kno if that really works tho. thanks
Which product is this? The Clear Coat Polish in the silver bottle?
From what I hear of this stuff it's like a glaze or something and doesn't do anything long term or miraculous. It can probably reduce their appearance a bit, but don't expect a huge difference for the more serious problems. Polishing it out with something mildly abrasive is better and more permanent, but it still depends how bad the damage is if you can get it out or not...

Try using a product like/smilar to this:

Meguiars #9 is pretty easy to use.
I've used this on my black car for the last 3 years with great results. Keep in mind that what you do after you've removed the swirls is what's really important.
Use the right tools for your car care program to make sure that you don't create more swirls every time you wash your car. Like using soft 100% cotton towels for drying, etc......
Good luck,
Bob
