My Nightmare is over... !

I have been having a Klonking and squeaking noise from the front left of my Max for almost 2 months. After 6 visits to the local dealer, where most people have the IQ of plankton, they finally figured it out. They kept blaming my aftermarket suspension, and when I went in today , I finally lost it as the dork service writer uttered the " Your aftermarket suspension " phrase. I yelled at him that my Maxspeeds and Tokicos are fine ! They finally had a mechanic drive with me, and even he said it wasnt my suspension. This is the 5th week in a row I have spent my Sat morning at this dealer . So they call me today at 4 pm and they replaced the front wheel bearing ! That cured it all ! My Max is back and ready to roll.... Just figured I would pas this along, in case any of you encounter same symptoms...

haha, that's good, but I still think your $800 in improving your suspension is making it squeek. haha

With Toks I can see why they would think it was the suspension

I'm surprised...

...they didn't blame your suspension for causing the wheel bearing to go bad. I'm getting lowered soon and I'm not looking forward to the dealer blaming that for everything

Dont assume the worst right away man, if you dont have isolation sleeves on the springs then that could be all you need to fix that. If not then obviously gotta look elsewere.

Thats what they blamed first , the spring insulators...only Tein includes them , you have to re-use your stocks with others like my Maxspeeds.

Yeah, start from the simple fix and take it from there. The dealer you went to was obviously bs'n you since you went like 5 times (gave the same excuse every time too) that sucks but atleast is all taken care of now.

I forgot to mention they ordered the wrong part 3 times in a row.....Seems like no one there drove anything but a Spev Sentra...... Today there was some clown with a track edition Z claiming that he is puttung out 340 hp with just a catback.. I asked him how he figured that. He said Stillen told him so.... . He also said the Vq in the Z was totally different than the Max.... what a BAFOON !

I still dont know were they find idiots like that Im not surprized at all about them getting the wrong part so many times, I deal with nissan all the time and it normal Atleast the idoits like the one with the 350 keep you busy while your sitting there bored as hell. I once got told by some1 at Honda that his stock S2000 is faster then a Zo6... I started to give the guy a reality check, then realized he was too big an idiot so I just left You can find some really stupid people at the dealer these days, atleast its somewhat entertaining.

This is the same place I saw a guy with a 350 Z pay 370 for a CAI , and they charged him 2.5 hours of labor...

I almost offered to do it for 100 bucks.... They sell the Stillen rear section for our cars , for 700 bucks !

After installing my rear springs and test driving, I also noticed 'clunking' noise. Then I remember, I was in such a excitement, I forgot to tighten and torque the rear left strut single top bolt. Its hard spot to get a ratchet in there but I managed. No noise. 1 week later, I redone the rear springs because something told me it wasn't tight enough. Wasted 2 hours later, found no problem. Atleast I am 100% sure now

Well we have all learned one thing today. When the dealer says they can't find the problem or blame it on something else, YELL AT THEM!! They seem to figure it out pretty quickly then

Glad you got your problem fixed!

Didn't you know the aftermarket intake was causing your wind noise problem?
