just finished installing transmission temperature gauge in the space for the ashtray.
wasnt too complicated, but had to do some thinking. and oh yeah, pops was big help!

i was thinking about it, but i've never worked with epoxy, so i decided not to go with any "bonding" material. i actually like the way the screws look. some suggested i add the fourth one for symmetry, but it would be a "fake one", since there isnt enough aluminum, due to the way i cut it. i might do it sometime in the future, we'll see.
How exactly did you set up the electronics for this? Did you have to put a fluid temperature sending unit somewhere? Could you add pics of how this is done, how much the parts cost? I've been thinking of adding a trans temp gauge myself for a while.

I just install a A/F gauge in my left center air vent, I was going to do what you have done but decided not to because I didn't want to drill a hole into the ashtray. BTW it looks nice, where did you get the CF vinyl?

actually, ashtray is safe
, i took the whole assembly out.i got CF vinyl at a model car shop.
