Anyone had their MAF go bad?...

My car has been having problems and after checking the diagnostic mode on the ECU have determined it is partly or wholey the MAF sensor.

The car idles fine but when trying to rev the engine, it would only go up to about 2K RPM's and runs very poorly at that speed.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and see if I'm headed in the right direction.

Thanks.

I had the same problem, and I think it WAS the MAF that had went out on mine. I originally decided to take the car to the dealer to get another one, but once they quoted me their "bargain" price,

But thanks to a nice person here on the .org, I got one for a REAL bargain, bolted it in, and was happily on my merry way. But bottom line, it sounds like you're heading the right way in your troubleshooting. Good luck

Thanks.

I hope this is the problem, I miss driving my max.
Not that I mind driving my Cherokee, it just doesn't have that go-kart feel.
