off lease thats an 02?? you gotta wait another year or so until they get off lease

 

most rent-a-car places sell the cars after they have accumulated 30k miles.

 

buying a former rental...bad news...nothing but trouble..they get abused beyond all recognition

 

dealerships. off a lease car is a good idea since they are basically new and well maintained since they were driven under full warranty. so you know that the previous owner brought it in for whatever broke, didn't just cover it up and sold. thing is though, dealers will mark up a lot and some states have additional taxes when buying from a dealer vs a private party.
