Ok.. I am going to an 8:1 fmu

I am going from my 10:1 to an 8:1 FMU.

I am @ 7 PSI at about 11.4:1 A/F

I keep reading on boosted motors 12.5:1 A/F is ideal is this true?

I WILL be getting a SAFC, just can't afford it right now, getting the 8:1 fmu for free from bosco, THANKS BOSCO .

So I am just curious what is the best A/F while still being safe

thanks

Although I do not know if I will get 12.5:1 with an 8:1.. but as long as it is close I'll be happy.. if it is 13 or higher I'll put the 10:1 back in

8:1 will make you run rich for sure. but you are getting S-AFC...so you will be able to adjust the AFR. I found the cheapest way to go is just get the adjustable FMU. S-AFC is kinda expensive. I dont think 10:1 is necessary. with an 8:1, I've already seen over 100psi of fuel pressure at WOT, 10psi of boost.

I dont have anything to tune my car. still running super rich since last dyno. you can adjust your AFR with S-AFC or adjustable FMU.
