Help! Metal tabs lost inside dash...
I was trying to fix a rattle in my dash that's right under the clock. So I pulled the clock component up off the dash with a screwdriver like the technical manual shows but the 2 little metal tabs that were holding it in fell inside the dash... I reached in but couldn't find them. Now they're rattling around in there while driving and the clock is loose.
Anyone know an easy way to retrieve them? I was thinking a flexible magnet like http://www.bunting-magnetics.com/mai...ce/flexmag.cfm but I don't know if it would screw up any electronics inside the dash by accident... The last resort would be taking the main dash piece off but that looks like a big pain and the book doesn't show how to take it off very well. Is there a How-To Guide for this somewhere?
?
Oh yah, off topic to this thread... Where are the best jack points for lifting the front of the car? The small little rails on the side of the car like the manual shows to change a tire or is there a better place?
