I've decided to keep the my 91 gxe for a little over a year before I give it to my sister. But I think the only big MOD I'm going to do is the exhaust. How should I do it to make it least expensive? Could I upgrade it peice by peice, or all at once? If all at once, what should be the order in buying things? I'm thinking Y pipe -> muffler?


On a side note(if I don't find an answer just ask in a seperate thread), do the 97 maxima and the 2004 has essentially the same type of engine? Would it be cheaper to get the 97 and get it to the 04, or buy a 2002 and keep it stock?

 

Get a y pipe and then a 5th gen muffler, sound its noticeable but not droning or loud

97 is a 3.0, 04 is a 3.5 I believe if its the same as the 2k2 and 2k3

i will support KLoWnPR109 in his advice. do what he says. and if you do not even get the muffler, get the y-pipe.
