Recently, after or during a rainshower or when it has been exceptionally humid, my car has had trouble starting. If I can get it started, it misses and then sometimes stalls upon initially pressing the gas pedal, sometimes leaving me in the middle of an intersection. No problems at all when the car is dry, or at idle or speed even when wet, just on ignition and initial acceleration.
Any ideas out there?

 

Yep, same happened to mine whenever it sat in the rain for a while. Replace your distributor cap and rotor.

 

my gxe did that and still does. we replaced the cap, rotor, and wires and nothing improved. could it be the seal?

 

Wow I have this very same problem. I'd really like to know what causes this.

 

mine started doing it after we had the injectors cleaned by someone. i looked at the injector plugs and most the rubber boots were broken. i put some seal all on them and it seemed to help a lot so i think it could be that. it didn't seem to last though because it's been doing it recently when it rains. i'll check that seal all again.
