a/c - alternator belt

a/c - alternator belt

there are two belts under the hood. which ones are which?

Big one is AC and the Alternator.

Small one is the Power Steering pump.

Excuse me for "piggy-back'n" off of this thread, but when changing your belts. Are you supposed to change both of these at the same time, or is it just one. Preferable the one that tends to make noise at start-up like mine are right now.

Change them both at the same time. You don't want to have to deal with that mess for one belt, trust me.

Yeah sorry for piggybacking as well but does anyone know if a sqeaking belt noise while turning while the car is moving slow is a bad PS belt?

Your powersteering belt is loose and it needs to be adjusted. Even if they are bad, they won't make noise if adjusted properly.

Just go to Autozone and pick them up. They'll give you the right ones.

Yeah but mine is a special case cause i want one that is smaller and just for the alternator not ac.
