not 2 b an *** or n e thing ... I don't think the subject u need help on was ever discussed ... I don't recall ... I "think" 8" is safe ... not so sure about 8.5" ... definately know that 9" causes rubbing ....

oh ... hmmm .. there is a lot of posts with that info ...
i think it was generally agreed that it wasn't safe 2 go wider than 225 but 235 does fit ... i think ...

i soudln't go above 225 on a stock 17" rim.. i'm going to run 235-40 18 on my car. (fifth gen) and it'll be fine. in the turbo magazine they ran a 19x9" wide rim and stuck on 275/30 i think.. and they said it rubbed. and then they said it would work if u stuck 265's on there so i'm thnkin' your safe anywhere from 215-255.. i wulda got 245's but i can't afford the tires..
