I just purchased some red-line 75-90 gear oil and it says that it is not meant for manual transmissions!! Has anybody heard of problems using this after a long time?

Redline makes a fluid designed for manual transmissions. I cant remember the name of it, but I think its MT75. Ive got it in my Max and it is good stuff.

Just did tune-up on my friends Z last night...

You bought the wrong stuff....
75W-90 is Differential Oil (Gear Oil)
You need MT-90 which is manual tranny oil...

Man this is your lucky day. I just changed my Tranny oil. REDLINE MT-90. Expensive but it works. I change mine every 2 oil changes. call me crazy but hey I drive my car hard so I keep the fluids fresh.

Redline tranny fluid

I agree with the PIONEER. The big difference for me is on those -25 mornings with start up. She's smooth rite away, you don't have to drive several miles first. I also have the 75-90w Redline in the rear differential. It can't hurt. Expensive but worth it.
