THE BEST quick detail spray I've found

is Zymol. And I've tried a bunch of others...Race Glaze, Blackfire, Eagle One, Meguier's and Sonus (which was $15 )

All these either left streaks or a greasy looking residue on my black paint. The Zymol did not! It wiped off clean and the (temporary) shine looks as good as when I finish with my Klasse.

This stuff rocks!! I'm so fuking happy right now!

BTW - about $7 at Auto Zone but Iv'e seen it at other similar type stores.

This is funny! Every other review for Zymol's detail spray says it sucks something fierce!

I'm not knocking you or anything - it's just kinda funny that the reviews I'd heard said this stuff was horrible but you seem to like it a LOT! If it works well for you and you are happy with it though, that is all that really matters - people sometimes get different results like this.

I've tried a bunch of detailing sprays, including the "big 3" Eagle One, Meguiar's, and Mothers, and find them all to work pretty similarly. Trying to use this stuff on paint that is hot to the touch often causes smearing and other problems though. Mothers is my favourite I've settled on FWIW.

That is wierd. I've not seen any reviews of it here and I am on the boards a lot. Do you remember which forum? If I'd seen bad comments, I wouldn't have even thought to try it. I always use it on cool paint, too. I have not tried Mothers, though. I'll check that out....

I haven't seen any reviews (positive or negative) either. I picked up a bottle the other week as well. So far I have been pretty happy with it...I'd be interested to see these reviews....

All that matters is if "you're" happy with it. Why even bother trying Mother's if you're happy with the Zymol. BTW - I'm not knocking Mothers. I've tried it and liked it.

Eh... sorry I probably shouldn't have posted anything in the first place. I'm just easily amused I guess. The reviews I saw were over at Autopia, but don't sweat it one bit - I bet if I used this stuff too I wouldn't have any problem with it. A lot of people there don't like the Water Blade either, but I do. Just keep using it and stick with what works. Sorry for stirring the pot!

No prob.

I was getting frustrated with so many brands that left that greasy look. (at least for me) I have only seen the Zymol detailer recently and thought maybe it was a new item for them. Anybody know how long it's been around? I've only seen it here in the past couple months.

I use either the meguiars or the mothers and they both seem to work just about the same.

Detail Spray

If you're willing to spend a little more I think you should give Pinnacle Crystal Mist a try. I have been using it for quite a while.I have found nothing that gives such a beautiful shine and is so easy to use.
