After witnessing an install of cleared out taillights, this is the procedure to take out the old taillights, there's about 4 nuts that you take off along with two clips and you push out from the inside it'd be easier to push out from where the nuts were screwed into remove the wiring and bulbs and insert your Altezzas.

i just did it 2 weeks ago. take off the fasteners in your trunk and pull back the carpet, 4 nuts hold the stock taillights in. take out 4 nuts and undo wiring harnesses. push the lights out. it may be kind of hard b/c there is a sticky a$$ sealant on there. after taking out old bulbs and putting in altezza revers what you just did to put back in. be careful of the sidemarker bulb b/c the wire is extremely short and the there is no harness, it just hangs.

Maybe this is just me but i seem to like altezzas on the 95-96 models, but i dont like altezzas on the 97-99 years. I think that the taillights on the 97-99 are too broad. My opinion is 95-96 altezzas, 97-99 definately red/clears. Does anyone feel me on this one??

I thought I was the only one who hates altezzas on the 97-99 but like them on the 95-96's. I do, however, prefer red/clears over any altezzas. If custommaxima doesn't make any 95-96 red clears, I may just get some altezzas for my 96. I have also thought about doing the rear end conversion just because I like the 97-99 red/clears so much.

Thanks for the help. It sounds relatively easy enough to do myself. i am not exactly what you would call a "great modder". I am gonna pick them up within the week hopefully and i'll try to get a pic out.

jus lettin u know tat keep those washers off ur stock nuts (4 nuts/piece, 16 total). DON'T THROW THEM AWAY. make sure u secure them along the washers, cuz if u don't the nuts will fall off and leave u gaps in couple weeks.

here is some of failure pix off my max:
