Proper LED for above radio?

There is a bulb right above the radio that shines down at night to illuminate it. In mine, it's green. I want to change it to blue, but I don't know what LED I should put in. There is a 5v but it seems to have higher illuminancy at radio shack, and a 9v one. I saw a post about changing all the lights in the car a while back, but can't seem to find it.
And I want to make it BRIGHT blue..

its just a small white bulb that has a blue rubber piece over it to make the light that color, so really all you gotta do is get either a colored bulb or a different color rubber piece
